Lars: it is the middle of the winter here in the southern hemisphere, but back in Finland people were celebrating midsummer solstice, or juhannus in Finnish. We wanted to do that too, so we invited a few people, bought a lot of sausages, and went to the Kaitoke regional park for a picnic.
The weather was coldish, around 10 degrees Celsius, and rainy. Not unlike summer weather in Finland, at times, so we felt quite at home.
The park provides coin-operated electric grills, which is nice. We also had a single-use grill that burned some kind of coal, which was much hotter, but harder to use.
